The Blog for Lehigh Valley Pennsylvania Wedding Photography Service "Onello Wedding Photography"

Almost a Wedding Planner...

Many of my Clients depend upon me to make sure their timelines are in order, their families are shuffled into the right places, and (most importantly) they get to enjoy their food for Cocktail Hour!

Often this preparation and extra care benefits me by giving me calm Clientele when it's my time to work with the Bride and Groom. I've done the work upfront so we don't have to do it during the actual Wedding. Mom knows our schedule, Dad is waiting at the Church at 2:30 ready to take that epic walk down the aisle. The groomsmen are hanging with the your Hubby-to-be (deep breaths now homie), and everyone is comfortable with me at the Helm of this Wedding day ship ... and yes, you should be imagining a Pirate Ship :]

I'm a photographer, but I'm also a Director. When I work with my Clients I'm often very vocal in what I want to see, I lend my advice on style choices, I even make sure that they're eating and drinking before the Ceremony so they don't pass out from the excitement ;] That's a huge responsibility, and one I take very seriously. Here's some things I hear throughout the Wedding experience...

Andrew! Which necklace is best!

Should I wear a tux or a suit?

When should I get in my dress?! Do I do it now?! No, I should wait .... I'll wait ... Andrew! Do I wait?!

There are an infinite amount of questions that you will ask, and there are many situations I've been in that lend me to give you the best answer from my experience shooting weddings for almost 10 years now.

When I'm awarded a Wedding Client, it's usually during our first face to face meeting. This is after a Phone call, Facetime session (I prefer this), or a long chain of Emails resulting in a face to face meeting. If we're meeting face to face, it's most likely that we'll be working together, and at that point I begin my preparation process. For clarity's sake, this is also when I take my first deposit to lock your Wedding into my Calendar.

Most couples are at their tip-top excitement level during this meeting, they've usually just gotten engaged (if you've just gotten engaged and are reading this congrats!) and know of a date and potential venue ... other than that they are simply "looking" for other services.

I also schedule a meeting about a month before the actual Wedding day, this gives you time to have all of your questions marinate in your mind. We can have a productive chat about all the vendors you've selected, the dress you picked (I won't tell) and a potential location for taking pictures.

The info from this meeting is how I'll structure a timeline for working with you. Giving you an hour by hour schedule puts us in a place to succeed together, even if things shift during the actual Wedding. Wedding days are often hectic, and I like to be the calm that leads us to a successful day of making images together.

Having more than one photographer...

Why Onello Wedding Photography (formerly Pop Wedding) switched from two photographers, to one photographer. Andrew writes about the differences in a singular vision and how that contrasts having multiple photographers for your wedding. Onello Wedding Photography is a Lehigh Valley Pennsylvania based wedding photography service.

Starting Over...

Brett & Jessica, PHL

Hey Folks,

Andrew here, formally from Pop Wedding, as you can see things have changed quite a bit from what you've been used to seeing if you've visited No need to fret, my goal is to continue to give incredible service, and most importantly Photographs, to past & potential clients.

So why the change?

Pop Wedding was something great, two different photographers with two different perspectives gelling together in harmony to give literally almost 100 couples beautiful wedding imagery since the start of the business three years ago. Pop gained a lot of buzz, and even had some write ups in the most popular Wedding outlets.  (As seen below)

However, I'll admit, I feel that I've needed change for over a year. I've been wanting to stretch myself creatively, and be able to do that within every aspect of my photography. Since then, I've started a Commercial Business, have created many Personal Projects, and now have completely have changed the way I look at Weddings from here on out.

If there's one thing you should know about me, I'm a constantly unsatisfied Photographer. I will never stop pushing to be better, more creative, and more useful to my Clients ... all of who have meant so much to me over the years operating under the Pop Wedding brand.

Change is a beautiful thing, and with the birth of my newborn son, Onello, has come the birth of a new way of seeing. So I've chosen to give this new venture a name fitting for the care I have for this business. ONELLO is so much more than my photographs will ever be. But the constant reminder of who I'm working for, and the passion I bring will never be in question. I hope to be welcomed by Clients New and Old, and look forward to making many more images here in Lehigh Valley, Philadelphia, New York, and beyond.

For those of you who have read to this point, thank you so much and if you have questions please feel free to contact me
